Whole Harvest Kitchen is KC's first fully Whole Food Plant-Based (WFPB) no sugar, no oil, and low sodium restaurant! We have several restaurants and dishes that come close to this level of nutrition in the area, but certainly not any other entire restaurants with this level of nutritional excellence. They boil it down to 4 words: "Forward Thinking. Modern Eating." I have to agree, this is the future of modern cuisine.
The entirely vegan menu with gluten-free options looks incredibly tasty too. Once you dive into the depth of flavor that comes from wholesome plant-based dishes you know and love like pizzas, pastas, soups, bowls, barbecue, and salads, you’ll crave them. You will taste the freshness of the scratch-made, masterfully curated dishes by Executive Chef Will Harris and team.
Menu items include barbecue jackfruit tacos, veggie dumplings, sourdough crust pizzas, and spinach & mushroom lasagna. Beverages will include juice flights, elixirs, teas, and other non-alcoholic drinks. Ingredients are thoughtfully sourced locally from beans to grains, and mushrooms.
The best part is how you feel afterwards. Wholesome plant foods come with a healthy dose of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, water, and fiber! These nutrients fuel your energy and productivity. Most of our restaurants in KC serve calorie-dense, heavy food that slows you down, instead of powering you up. Whole Harvest Kitchen will fill that void in Johnson County and beyond.
Whole Harvest Kitchen will open in Town Center Plaza in the previous Z Galleries space at 4853 W. 117th St. on the North side directly across the parking lot from T-Mobile and Hereford House. The restaurant will be open 7 days a week from 11-4 for lunch starting on Tuesday, Jan. 23rd. The team plans to add dinner service in February.
The Whole Food Plant-Based meal company first opened it’s doors in 2018 as a grab and go, meal-prep, and meal delivery concept called Fresh, Healthy, Fast in North Kansas City. They subsequently re-branded to Whole Harvest, and re-located to a state-of-the-art distribution center in Denver where they currently ship fresh meals nationwide. The group’s first restaurant under the new Whole Harvest Kitchen name will open in Leawood, KS with plans for expanding across the nation.
