Vitality Telehealth: Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started & Logistics
-
What states can Trey Bennett, NP see patients in?
Trey is currently licensed to provide expert telehealth care to residents in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Oregon, and Washington. -
Do I need special software for my virtual visit?
No. We use a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform that works just like a standard video call. Once you book your appointment, you will receive a simple link via email or text to join from your smartphone, tablet, or computer. -
Can a "virtual" provider really help me with chronic issues?
Absolutely. Lifestyle medicine is uniquely suited for telehealth because it focuses on root-cause analysis, data from labs, and sustainable behavioral changes. Approximately 80% of primary and lifestyle care needs can be effectively managed virtually.
Insurance & Cost
-
Does Vitality accept insurance for telehealth?
Yes! We accept most major commercial insurance plans, Medicare, and Kansas Medicaid. For out-of-state patients, we typically accept Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) plans from other states as well. -
What if I don't have insurance or you are out-of-network?
We offer transparent flat-rate pricing for those without coverage. You can also use HSA (Health Savings Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Account) funds for all our services. -
How much will my first visit cost?
If you have in-network insurance, your cost is often just your standard general practitioner copay. Our goal is to maximize your benefits—to minimize your out-of-pocket costs.
Lab Work & Prescriptions
-
How do I get blood work done if I'm not in Kansas?
It’s very simple. Trey orders your labs electronically to a national partner like Quest Diagnostics or Labcorp. You simply visit the location nearest to you in your home state, and the results are sent directly back to us for review. -
Can Trey prescribe medications virtually?
Yes. As a licensed Nurse Practitioner in your state, Trey can prescribe necessary medications and send them electronically to your local pharmacy. -
What about specialized functional testing?
For advanced diagnostics (like stool or hormone kits), we can often mail a kit directly to your home. You collect the sample and mail it to the lab; then, we discuss the results during your follow-up.
